Reporter-photographe, Patrick Robert est indépendant depuis 4 ans après avoir travaillé de nombreuses années avec Sigma. Spécialisé dans l’actualité internationale, il a couvert de nombreux conflits en Afrique, en Asie, au Proche et Moyen-Orient ainsi qu’en Europe de l’Est. Il n’a cependant jamais cessé de faire des portraits de personnalités politiques ou du monde du spectacle ainsi que des reportages de fond sur des sujets intemporels, Il a été grièvement blessé par balle au Libéria en 2003. Son travail a été récompensé par une douzaine de prix internationaux.
The riots, in March 2008 in Tibet, and the brutal repression of the Chinese Army have brought to light a new Tibetan generation. In Dharamsala, the headquarters of the government in exile of the Dalai-Lama, Tibetan youth are organizing the resistance. Even if they have a profound respect for their spiritual and political guide, the Dalai-Lama, these new objectors are more radical and determined than their elders.
Patrick Robert is a press photographer. After having worked for Sigma for many years, he has now been independent for the last four years. Specializing in international current events, he has covered many conflicts in Africa, in Asia, the Middle East and the Far East as well as Eastern Europe. All the while, he has continued taking portraits photos of important politicians and of show business personalities as well as doing in-depth reports on timeless subjects. He was seriously wounded by gunfire in Liberia in 2003. He has been awarded more than a dozen international prizes.
